We have two knitting groups here at the Canastota Public Library for experienced knitters and also for ones who would like to learn.

Thursdays at 5:30-7:30pm – Lawson Room
Fridays at 10:00-12:00pm – Lawson Room
**Special day – Saturday, October 15th 9:30-11:30am – Main Floor

We focus on knitting for local charities. We knit ongoing for: baby hats for the hospital, hats and scarves and gloves for the “I am not lost…” campaign, which includes supplying the Canastota Caring Cupboards at Zems, Debrucques, and the police station, prayer shawls for the Prayer Shawl Ministry for Christ Church United Methodist in Sherrill.

Knitters are welcome to come and learn, pick up a pattern, and even receive some free yarn for the charity projects.
