 WHO WE ARE . . .
The Friends of the Canastota Library are a group of library users, like yourselves, who donate time to help with library events and fundraisers.  New volunteers are always welcome.

 MEMBERSHIP…
Annual membership is $3 for an individual or $10 per family. Please let us know your interests . . . we always need book sorters, but there's also room for volunteers in the publicity, refreshment, and membership drive committees.

 WHERE THE MONEY GOES . . .
Membership dues and book sale profits go toward the purchase of special library supplies and programs. In past years we have purchased a speaker's podium for use during library lectures and provided the library with a much needed bicycle rack and bench. New blinds and curtains for the biography room and a dishwasher for the community kitchen were also provided.  The conference table in the biography room was refinished with our funds as well as purchasing a beautiful oak display case opposite the main desk.

BOOK DONATIONS
Donations of gently used books, videos, DVD’s, and audio materials are currently being accepted at the library. Donations in all cases must be free of donor stipulation.

WE MUST DECLINE THE FOLLOWING MATERIALS:
Any material that is soiled, discolored, torn, moldy, or wet
Any material that contains writing, highlighting, etc.
Encyclopedia Sets

Illegal, stolen, or "pirated" copies of copyrighted material
Magazines

Non-fiction materials more than 15 Years old
